Check out Dolls House and Miniatures Scene magazine (#192, June 2010)- there's my article on how to make leather buckets, pattens, tankards and costrels.
I enjoy making minis out of leather - it's pliable and forgiving (usually!) and very tactile.

I've made some potion bottles and baskets which are now for sale in my Etsy shop (here).
The baskets I developed from a pattern by Kat the Hat Lady (here) who has very kindly given permission for me to go ahead and sell some.
Kat makes witch hats and brooms, as well as table settings and brilliant Mad Hatter hats.
You can see her eBay site here and her Etsy shop here .

For some time now I've been trying to encase these slippery little things in a net - I've tried macrame, bobbin lace, glue, praying, cursing, pleading, threatening - but to no avail. Suddenly yesterday it all came right for no particular reason, ain't that the way?
Mebbe the mini angels were on my side this time.
And yes, the pointy one is now called 'time in a bottle' or perhaps 'lost moments' or maybe 'air from a distant world', or, you guessed it, 'Glenda forgot to fill it before adding the lid'.
